DX1 Fuel Lubricants: Problem Solver for Right Now While We Wait for New Fuels
California_Air_Resources_Board_(Nov_2004) (pdf)
DownloadCalifornia Air Resources Board's ("CARB") 2004 report revalidated the statistical analysis and results of a test conducted by CARB's laboratory in 1990, entitled “Effect of D-1280X Additive on Emissions & Fuel Economy.” The Test was conducted by the laboratory Automotive Testing and Development Services, Inc located in Huntington Beach CA, under a contract funded by CARB. The Federal Exhaust Emissions Test Procedures and Federal Highway Fuel Economy Test Procedures were used by the laboratory to determine exhaust emissions and measure the fuel economy in heavy duty diesel vehicles belonging to the Los Angeles CA Department of Water and Power that used Omstar's DX1 lubricants (formerly called D-1280X). This report is also available on the CARB website at
https://ww3.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/omstar/omstar.pdf.
CARB's laboratory found that hydrocarbon emissions were reduced by 50% and 28.6%, respectively, with a 95% confidence level, and fuel economy improved by 4.1%, with a 90% confidence level for the vehicles tested.
Sanas_Testing_Laboratory_(Jun_2016) (pdf)
DownloadSANAS TESTING LABORATORY found that adding DX1 FUEL & OIL to Unleaded Petrol- 95 RON (ULP95), and also to Diesel 50ppm Sulfur, had no detrimental effect on the quality or specifications of either fuel.
Testing conformed to the South African National Standards (SANS).
Saybolt_Labs_(Oct_1988) (pdf)
DownloadE.W. Saybolt & Co. Inc. tested DX1 FUEL & OIL (formerly D-1280X) and found it increased Cetane for diesel fuels from 45.5 to 47.5 points and is 99.99976% ashless (2.4 parts out of 1,000,000 parts). Personnel at Saybolt Labs said they'd never seen anything like this in their history.
Southwest_Research_Institute (Apr_2010) (pdf)
DownloadThe Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) found that DX1 FUEL & OIL (formerly D-1280X under a private label brand name), decreased fuel viscosity by 5%, increased cetane by 3.5%, and reduced aluminum emissions by 14.5%.
South_Coast_Air_Quality_Management_District_(Oct_1986) (1) (pdf)
DownloadCalifornia's South Coast Air Quality Management District ("SCAQMD") performed a chemical breakdown of DX1 FUEL & OIL (formerly D-1280X) that presented all elemental ingredients such as Si, Mg, Fe, Cu, Ag, Ni, Al, Ca, SA, with all “other elements” analyzed as “nil.”
Mexican_Petroleum_Institute_(Dec_2002) (pdf)
DownloadMexico Petroleum Institute's laboratory evaluation found DX1 FUEL & OIL reduced emissions (Bosch Fume Units, UHB) from 3.14 to 1.6, and Particulates from 0.08 to 0.03 grams/BHP-Hour.
